Going to a new church for the first time can be a challenging experience for many of us. Often, we can find ourselves afraid of where to sit and fear being asked a million questions or perhaps no one noticing us at all. However, at First Christian Church of Findlay, Ohio, we want you to feel welcome to worship with us during our Sunday morning services. At our church, every person is welcomed when they come in and we want you to know that we accept you as you are just as God accepts us as we are.
Every Sunday, our worship services at First Christian Church of Findlay include a blend of contemporary and traditional worship music and include a service with biblical teaching, prayer, and communion. With an average of twenty-five to thirty in worship with each Sunday, we as a small church that gathers to worship, lift up our concerns to God, and have fellowship with one another. Our pastor typically delivers a sermon and different members of our church family will lead other various parts of the service. For us as a Disciples of Christ congregation, our church is led by those in our faith community illustrating the gifts that each of us bring to ministry.
At First Christian, our services are very laid back and each person comes as they are. Some folks come to church dressed up and others come wearing comfortable blue jeans. During the service we also will have the time to take communion. In our Disciples tradition, communion is offered weekly and anyone who is a follower of Jesus is welcome to the table, regardless if they are a member of another church or Christian faith tradition. During our service, we also offer a children’s moment and a moment of community which allows us to see and explore ways as a church we can carry out our mission of compassion and love to our local Findlay community and beyond. After worship, we offer a coffee hour fellowship in our kitchen where you can enjoy snacks, desserts, teas, and juices.
We look forward to having you come worship with us at First Christian Church of Findlay. If you live out of the area but still desire to worship with us, check out our livestream of our services which allow you to not only watch our service, but also interact with us during the service.
